At Newcastle Chiropractic, we excel in the biomechanical, neurological and psychosocial evaluation of the spine and body to restore proper nerve function in a natural way. Our aim is to relieve symptoms, achieve homeostasis, improve performance and health with lasting results.

In terms of techniques we use Gonstead and Diversified as our main adjusting procedures. We are qualified in Activator Methods, Toggle Recoil, Derefield, Nimmo, Cross Friction, Trigger Point, SOT and other methods.

We utilise Applied Kinesiology, muscle energy release techniques, functinal neurology and other more complex procedures for our work.

Equally stretching, stregthening, rehabilitation and proprioceptive and adaptive stimulation are part of our repetoire. We utilise and provide access to various aids from Mediballs to wobble boards, to Therabands and many other items at our disposal and apply them with good success.

We take an interest in foot and ankle biomechanics. We extensively assess gait and posture and have the ability to make six different types of orthotics from heat moulded types to state of the art semi-rigid sport orthotics to purely proprioceptive stimulating inserts.

We have a great interest in nutrition both in terms of foods that we eat but also in terms of specific nutrient support. Epigenetics and nutrignomics are part of what we study up on and use to maximise recovery and general wellbeing.

When needed, we refer for X-rays or other diagnostic imaging such as bone scans, CT, MRI or Ultrasound. For this we have a good report with all major providers in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Hunter Valley area.

We foster good working relationships with many local medical doctors. We participate in the same post-graduated continuing education programs as they do through the Hunter Postgraduate Medical Institute for GP's and the Musculoskeletal Interest Group for specialists as part of the Institute for Bone and Joint Surgery housed at the Royal Newcastle Centre which is part of the University of Newcastle Medical School and John Hunter Hospital.

This helps us broaden our horizons and keeping us up to date with what is available to our patients within the entire medical spectrum and not just chiropractic.

As a result we enjoy many referrals from GPs and specialist who trust us and feel comfortable that we will take utmost care of you or their patients.

We do not have a standardised treatment protocol and tailor treatment to someone's needs. Our approach is simple and pragmatic and we see results evolve quickly and if not take make the appropriate referals or recommendations.
